AutoActions

You can use AutoActions to handle calls automatically. This can be useful for problem callers, frequent long distance callers, or when you are away from your computer.  You can:

disconnect from the Internet so you can Answer the call;

have the call redirected to one of your Transfer numbers;

play the caller the I'll Call You Back, Call Me Back, or one of your other four customized messages;

direct the caller to Voice Mail; or

Ignore the caller.

AutoActions can be assigned to individual phone numbers, or to all of your calls. In setting up AutoActions for individual callers, you must assign a call-handling option to each phone number.  Then, when the AutoActions feature is enabled, whenever you receive a call from one of your AutoActions numbers, the call will be handled automatically.  You will hear a ringing sound shorter than the one associated with the normal "Sound On" feature.  No Incoming Call Pop-up Window is displayed.  The call will be handled in the way you specified and the call will be put into your Caller Log.

If you enable your All Callers AutoAction, it will override your individual AutoActions, and handle all your calls in the way you specified.

The following topics tell you how to set up AutoActions and how to enable and disable the feature:
