General options are set from the ICM Main Window's Setup button:
General options include specifying how ICM behaves on start-up, whether a sound is played when an incoming call is detected, and indicating the type of Internet connection you are using.

To specify general set-up options:
Click the ICM Main Window's Setup button.
The Setup window opens.
Ensure that the correct menu is displayed by clicking on General.
Enable the options of your choice by clicking their boxes accordingly. The options are:
Note: The Confirm disconnect on answer option is available only if you set one of the Connection Type options i.e. Dial-Up Connection or AOL Dial-up Connection.
Click the OK button to accept the changes and dismiss the dialog.
The Cancel Button lets you dismiss the dialog without accepting any changes you might have made.
